Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The Congress of Quintana Roo has approved the reformed Mobility Law proposals that will allow rideshare companies such as DiDi, Uber and Cabify to work in the state. On Wednesday night, the Congress of Quintana Roo unanimously approved the proposed reforms to the state’s law.
The reforms were approved with 23 votes in favor of and zero opposing. On social media, Governor Mara Lezama posted “Unanimously approved the regulatory framework for the Quintana Roo Mobility Law to make way for the regulation and operation of technological services contracted through digital platforms!
“Once again, I recognize the full disposition of the deputies of the H. XVII constitutional legislature of the Congress of Quintana Roo, who have opted to promote competitiveness, quality and safeguard the integrity of the users of public and private transport services in Quintana Roo.
This is how the New Agreement materializes, addressing old citizen demands, forgotten for years and giving space to development with justice and well-being for everyone.”
