Spirit Airlines has begun to take off with its first-ever international service from Austin, with the official launch of flights starting from Austin to Cancun in Mexico.  This will equate to more tourists finding their way to Bacalar in search of rest, relaxation and real estate.

The airline’s newly developed service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

“By adding more nonstop destinations with our famous low fares, we create more opportunity for our guests to travel and save,” said Jonh Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning for Spirit Airlines. “We’re excited to offer even More Go in Austin.  Savvy travelers can use the money Spirit helps them save to enjoy more of Cancun’s great beaches.”

The launch comes on behalf of Spirit’s significant expansion to Cancun, Mexico. Earlier this month the cost-efficient carrier announced their plan to launch flights to Cancun from various United State cities including Philadelphia, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Nashville.

“This month marks Spirit’s one-year anniversary in Austin, and what better way to celebrate their success than with the launch of an exciting new year-round service to Cancun,” said Jacqueline Yaft, Executive Director of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
