Q. R. — Tulum At least five major projects in the city of Tulum will be finished by the end of the year. According to Carlos Efran Yama Moguel, director of the Municipal Public Works and Services General Directorate, the total cost of the projects scheduled for completion by the end of 2022 is approximately 47.7 million peso.
He mentioned the underground electrification and lighting on Tulum Avenue between Acuario and Alfa Streets, as well as the pedestrian project, which he estimated to cost around 10.2 million peso.
Underground electrical wiring on the western side of Tulum Avenue is another planned improvement. Over 11,000,000 Pesos will be spent on that endeavor.
Punta Allen Road, which has also been rehabilitated for 11 million peso, is almost finished. One more project expected to be finished by the end of the year at a cost of about 10.5 million peso is the modernization of Cobá Avenue from Tulum Avenue to Public Security.
The intersection of Tulum and Kukulcán Avenues will soon have traffic light repairs added to the municipal agenda. 5,000,000 PHP is set aside for the undertaking at hand.
Yama Moguel made it clear that the Tulum City Council is paying for all of the costs. Most of them kicked off in the summer months of July and August and are expected to wrap up before the New Year.
