Riviera Maya, Q.R. The first cabin for the Maya Train is currently being built in Ciudad Sahagn, Hidalgo. According to Fonatur, the production of the first automobile proceeds and is reaching the painting stage.
The main box of the first car’s frame has been finished, and painting and equipment are currently taking place, according to the government organization in charge of the nation’s project. The second car will now be put together, says the National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur).
According to Fonatur’s announcement, the first train will be delivered in July 2023 and will be totally manufactured in Mexico.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said this month that Maya Train testing will begin in July 2023, before to its debut in December 2023. The part of the train that has been designated as the test route will run on the rails that have been laid between Merida and CancUn.
