Barcelo Hotel Group, Barcelo Maya Palace is one of the biggest resorts in the Riviera Maya. And in December 2019, this all-inclusive resort complex plans to grow even bigger. They are adding the Barceló Maya Riviera, an adults-only property that will feature hot tubs on all the guest room balconies. Even more, there will be 110 swim-up style suites. This ambitious new project is estimated to cost $250 million.
With this new addition, there will be a total of 850 guest rooms at the Palace. And over half of the rooms will feature ocean views. Smart technology is going to be incorporated in the guest rooms, including smart locks made possible using a smartphone app.
A total of five restaurants will be spread throughout the Barceló Maya Riviera. Four of which are specialty restaurants, while the fifth one is buffet style dining. The cuisine choices span from Mexican to French fine dining, to Italian and Japanese. Other amenities include five bars, four pools, a gym and a spa. Last but not least, is the property’s prized feature, a huge convention center fit to accommodate 7,000 people.
“Barceló Maya Riviera is set to reshape the region’s hotel and convention offerings,” said Stefania Ballotta, Sales & Marketing Director at Barceló Maya Grand Resort. “We can’t wait to share this new property with our valued guests and event planners.”
