Tulum, Quintana Roo — Tulum is on track to complete nearly 20 significant public projects by the end of September, marking a key milestone in the town’s ongoing development. Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo stressed the importance of finishing these Tulum public projects before the new administration takes over, according to Santos Hipólito Tuz, Director of Public Works Monitoring.
Progress and Delays in Tulum’s Public Projects
Out of the 22 originally planned projects, only two have reached full completion. Unfortunately, adverse weather over the past two months caused delays, slowing the progress of several key initiatives. Nevertheless, the municipality remains committed to meeting the mayor’s deadline. As the deadline approaches, local authorities are doubling down on their efforts to ensure that the remaining projects are completed on time. This push highlights the dedication to improving Tulum’s infrastructure, which is crucial for both residents and the increasing number of tourists visiting the area.
